Favorite Lists That Stay Useful

Favorite Lists That Stay Useful
Illustration for "Favorite Lists That Stay Useful" on AllBestCams. A cam favorites list turns into a graveyard of offline names. How to keep one you will actually open.

Every cam site offers a heart, a star, or a follow. After a month the list is a hundred names, most of them offline, several of them renamed, and you scroll it like a contacts app you are afraid to clean. A useful list is short enough to scan for who is actually live. The heart button is not the list. The edit you do later is the list.

Start from saving favorite rooms and how follows work. This page is maintenance. Follow versus fan club matters because a paid club should not be mixed into a casual heart list in your head, even if the site mixes the icons.

Write the zone and the job

Next to a name, note the time zone and why you saved them: public tease, private menu, a language, a quiet hangout. Without that, every offline thumbnail looks like a candidate. Time zones are why someone is always “never online” when you check. They are online when you are at work. The note stops you from taking it personally.

If they move sites, the old heart is a dead door. When a model moves is how you confirm the new room before you heart a stranger with the same face. Delete the dead entry. Graveyards are how impersonators get your click.

Cap it

Twenty names you recognize beat two hundred you do not. When you add one, remove one that you have not willingly opened in a month. A notification on every heart is how your phone becomes a slot machine. Turn most of them off. Keep alerts for two or three people whose schedules you actually want. The rest can wait until you open the site on purpose.

Split by site if you keep a three-site rotation. A Stripchat heart does not open a LiveJasmin room. Pretending you have one master list across logins is how you forget which balance you still have. Tokens expire on the site where you stopped looking, not on the site where the name moved.

Do not save from a bad mood

Hearts clicked at the end of an overspent private are souvenirs, not plans. If your journal says you would not book them again, do not follow them to “be nice”. Nice is leaving. A follow tells the site to pull you back. Only pull yourself back toward shows you would buy on a calm afternoon.

Open the list before the lobby

The lobby is designed to replace your list with whoever is boosted. Open favorites first, see who is live, then wander if nobody is. An empty favorites row is a clock problem, not a reason to delete everyone. Check the zone note. If it is their morning, come back at their evening. The list worked. The hour was wrong.

A monthly five-minute edit

Once a month, open the list and remove anyone you do not recognize. That edit is the product. The heart button is just how names get in. If you cannot say why a name is there, it is clutter, and clutter is why you scroll past the one person who is actually live. Finding people is useless if the list immediately hides them.

Do the edit sober and off the clock, not at the end of a show. End-of-show edits are either “follow everyone” or “delete everyone” depending on the mood. Neither survives a week. A Tuesday afternoon edit does.
