Many “cam girl” profiles on social media and messaging apps are fake. They use stolen photos to push you towards scam sites, paid “verification” or sextortion.
Warning signs
- They message you first, out of nowhere.
- Photos look professional but the profile is new or empty.
- They quickly send a link to a site you have never heard of.
- They ask for gift cards, crypto or “verification fees”.
- They want to video call on an outside app.
Where real performers are
Real performers work on established cam sites, where they are age-verified and paid through the site. If you like someone, find them on a known site from our ranking.
