The thumbnail is a advertisement. The badge on it is the contract. A smiling preview can sit on a room that is already in exclusive, already offline, or already sold as a ticket you have not bought. People tip the public chat of a locked room every night and then decide the site stole from them. The site showed a badge. The badge was the size of a fingernail. This is a tour of the words on that fingernail.
Names differ. Stripchat likes clear status pills. Chaturbate leans on the subject line and the private button. LiveJasmin will say free chat, private, or exclusive in the place where other sites say online. Read the word, not the color you remember from a different site.
Online, away, and offline
Online means a broadcast is up. It does not mean the model is looking at chat. Away or BRB means the broadcast may still be connected and the person is not at the chair. Offline means the show ended, even if the thumbnail is a flattering last frame. Clicking offline is how you read a bio. It is not how you watch a show. The pause versions are in away and BRB. If a whole lobby is offline, the hour may be wrong. An empty lobby is a clock problem as often as a site problem.
Private, exclusive, and spy
In private means someone has bought a session. On some sites the public video continues in a limited way. On others it stops. Exclusive, or a “true private”, usually means the public room is locked so you cannot watch or type. Spy, peek, or sneak peek is a paid way to see a private already in progress without joining it. Spy is not a discount private. You do not get to steer. Spy shows and exclusive versus regular privates split those products properly. The badge is only the label that tells you which product is running.
If the badge says exclusive, do not send a public tip “to be next” unless a visible queue says that is how the list works. Many rooms do not have a queue. Your tip lands in a chat nobody in the private can see, or it sits until they return and did not ask for it.
Ticket, group, and gold
A ticket or gold badge means a paid group is scheduled or already running. The public thumbnail may keep playing a teaser. Buying random tips does not always buy the ticket. Look for the ticket button and a price. Gold shows explains the shape. If the badge is a countdown, you are early, not late. Early is not a better seat.
Badges about you, not the room
King, fan club, moderator, and colored names are about users, not about whether the show is live. They sit next to the room badges and confuse people. What user colors mean is that other legend. A crown does not mean the room is in private. A green dot does not mean you are allowed to ignore the topic.
Before you spend, say the badge out loud in your head: offline, away, private, exclusive, ticket, or actually free to watch. If you cannot name it, you are not ready to tip. The first 30 seconds starts with that name.
When two badges show at once
A thumbnail can wear a ticket countdown and an “online” dot together. Read both. Online means the camera is up. The ticket means part of the show is already sold. You can watch the free portion and still not be in the show the countdown is advertising. Gold shows hide inside this combination. Pay the ticket only if the advertised part is what you want. Do not tip the public chat and assume the ticket came along.
If the badges contradict each other, believe the one that says you cannot see the show: offline, exclusive, or a hard lock. Optimism is how people pay a frozen frame. Away plus a flattering still is the classic pair. Name both badges, then decide.
