MyFreeCams and Chaturbate are both built on public rooms, regulars and tips. They are the closest thing the cam world has to neighbourhoods.
The feel
- MyFreeCams: a public grid where long-running performers have loyal regulars. Bookmarks, friends lists and returning viewers matter a lot. Shows often start slow and build.
- Chaturbate: a larger, faster grid with tip goals front and centre and a wide mix of performers, including couples and groups.
Tipping
Both run on tokens. On MyFreeCams, regular tippers become known to the performer over time. On Chaturbate, goal bars make each tip visibly move the room. Our tipping etiquette guide works for both.
Discovery
Chaturbate is easier to browse by tag and format. MyFreeCams rewards patience: find a few performers you like and come back. Our article on being a regular explains why that matters.
Who should pick which
- Pick MyFreeCams if you want to follow a few performers over months.
- Pick Chaturbate if you want variety tonight.
